Thank you!

To all of the fourth graders and their supportive families,
I owe a debt of gratitude to you all for welcoming me to Edison in such a grand way this year.  You've embraced every challenge, asked the right questions, and taken the right risks; all to rise to such terrific heights.  During a quiet moment in the future, I hope that you can look back at this year and feel a great sense of accomplishment and that you can appreciate the growth that you've all earned. I am amazed by your abilities and humbled by your talents. I will cherish our time together. Thank you for sharing your journey with me.
As an educator, I am genuinely honored to have played a small role in whomever you turn out to be.  If this year is any indication, you are bound to be someone special. As a teacher, there is no greater reward than to learn of the successes of one's students.  I must admit I intend to be spoiled by your future success.

This summer, have fun and be safe.  Please email me once in a while to let me know what you're up to.
Thank you all!
This was truly a year to remember... Definitely the B.Y.O.A.T.
Sincerely,
Fitz Crame

The Fifth Grade is Full of Animals

Today Mr. Matsumoto's fifth graders came to share their animals.  Needless to say the place was a zoo.

Film Fest Tonight

Tonight we will be watching The Princess Bride in 308 as part of the Edison Film Festival.  We will be dining on pizza, Pirate Booty, and some iocane flavored Capri Suns.  What you do not smell is called iocane powder. It is odorless, tasteless, dissolves instantly in liquid, and is among the more deadlier poisons known to man.  Hopefully, you spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder.  Missing out on this event is "INCONCEIVABLE!"
Have fun storming the castle...

Penultimate Project Day!

On June 21st we will be presenting our final projects to celebrate the end of our fourth grade experience.  It has been a year full of projects, challenges and successes.  The students have gained valuable experience with project-based learning and have developed skills by indulging in meaningful inquiry. I have left the design of the final two weeks of lesson planning to the direction of the students themselves.  The goal is to design a project that summarizes and encasulates their entire fourth grade experience.  The fourth graders are brainstorming ideas and developing a plan to demonstrate their knowledge in diverse and engaging ways.
These projects will be shared with available families and friends during a "Penultimate Day Celebration" on Friday, June 21st.  The times are yet to be determined.  Expect a student-created invitation soon. SAVE THE DATE!
